Embark on an unforgettable 2‑hour fishing adventure as we set sail from the harbour in Tórshavn aboard our traditional Faroese boat. This short but immersive experience blends hands‑on fishing with the natural beauty and maritime culture of the Faroe Islands.
Leaving Tórshavn, we head out into the sheltered waters of Nólsoyarfjørður. The fjord offers ideal fishing grounds close to the capital, and its calm surface is framed by dramatic views of Nólsoy to the east and the colourful houses of Tórshavn rising along the hillside to the west.
As we cruise, our experienced crew will share stories about local fishing traditions, the history of the harbour, and the deep connection Faroese people have with the sea. These insights add a rich cultural layer to your journey, making the experience more than just a fishing trip.
Depending on weather and conditions, we may sail along the coastline toward Hoyvík or out toward the open mouth of the fjord. Along the way, keep an eye out for seabirds—gulls, fulmars, and occasionally puffins during the summer months—circling above the water in search of their own catch.
Once we reach the fishing spot, you’ll have the chance to try your hand at traditional Faroese line fishing. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced angler, our crew will guide you through the process, making it easy, enjoyable, and rewarding.
This tour offers a perfect blend of scenic sailing, cultural storytelling, and authentic fishing—an ideal way to experience the maritime heart of Tórshavn in just two hours.
Bursatanga is a quiet hillside neighbourhood on the eastern edge of Tórshavn, known for its sweeping views over the capital and the surrounding fjords. Positioned above the coastline, it offers a unique vantage point where the city’s colourful rooftops meet the dramatic Faroese landscape.
The area stretches along the slope facing Nólsoyarfjørður, giving residents and visitors a clear line of sight toward the island of Nólsoy and the ever‑changing North Atlantic. Its elevation creates a natural divide between the bustling town centre below and the open, windswept hills that rise behind it.
Walking through Bursatanga, you’ll find a blend of modern Faroese homes, quiet streets, and pockets of green that reflect the calm, spacious character of the neighbourhood. The nearby walking paths lead toward the higher terrain above Tórshavn, where the views expand across Tangafjørður, Hoyvík, and the surrounding mountains.
With its peaceful atmosphere, scenic outlook, and close connection to both nature and city life, Bursatanga offers a distinctive perspective on Tórshavn—one that captures the gentle rhythm and understated beauty of the Faroese capital.
