Start your morning with a peaceful boat tour around the beautiful island of Nólsoy. This relaxing sightseeing trip is perfect for anyone wanting to experience Faroese nature, wildlife, and coastal scenery in the soft morning light.
We sail slowly along the eastern side of Nólsoy, passing two historic lighthouses and entering areas known for puffins and other seabirds. The calm waters, wide ocean views, and rich birdlife make this tour an ideal choice for nature lovers, photographers, and visitors looking for an unforgettable experience on the Faroe Islands.
Enjoy the quiet atmosphere, the fresh sea air, and the chance to see puffins up close as you explore one of the most scenic areas near Tórshavn.
Bursatanga is a quiet hillside neighbourhood on the eastern edge of Tórshavn, known for its sweeping views over the capital and the surrounding fjords. Positioned above the coastline, it offers a unique vantage point where the city’s colourful rooftops meet the dramatic Faroese landscape.
The area stretches along the slope facing Nólsoyarfjørður, giving residents and visitors a clear line of sight toward the island of Nólsoy and the ever‑changing North Atlantic. Its elevation creates a natural divide between the bustling town centre below and the open, windswept hills that rise behind it.
Walking through Bursatanga, you’ll find a blend of modern Faroese homes, quiet streets, and pockets of green that reflect the calm, spacious character of the neighbourhood. The nearby walking paths lead toward the higher terrain above Tórshavn, where the views expand across Tangafjørður, Hoyvík, and the surrounding mountains.
With its peaceful atmosphere, scenic outlook, and close connection to both nature and city life, Bursatanga offers a distinctive perspective on Tórshavn—one that captures the gentle rhythm and understated beauty of the Faroese capital.
